I think that may be the sequence, Jermaine. McVay likes Rodgers but he also like Garopollo. I think the latter will get the nod and Rodgers will be the back-up. That frees-up the Rams to go after a McCord or a Dart (or Dirt, whatever the dude's name is).

Here is the latest on Stafford. The Geeants and Raidas are battling it out with Jimmy Sexton, Stafford's agent. People who state that the Rams will re-sign Stafford to a new deal are forgetting the Rams ain't going to pay Stafford the $50+ mill he wants per year. I think, eventually, the Rams will let him sign with either of the two finalists. The obvious next questions are: Are the Rams going to stick to their demands for a Number One pick or are they going to settle for something less??

Preliminary Draft meetings have been done with TEs, QBs, Safeties, and CBs. No mention of any meetings with ILBs, DTs, and OLineman, specifically Tackles. The Rams have met with the big TE, Warren out of Penn State and Loveland from Michigan. QBs include Ewers from Texas. No mention of McCord.
