He signed his extension early, not exactly the same. He was still at the top of the QBs when he signed it.
Even when he signed that long term deal, he could've gotten more, we all know that and so does he. Plus, I don't see him complaining that all these guys are making more than he is. Is Stafford better than Mahomes? Hell no, but Stafford thinks he should be making more than Mahomes? Just because teams like Dallas, Miami and Atlanta are stupid, doesn't mean that we should be Stupid too.
Stafford is now 37, he went into the playoffs injured and truthfully, he's had quite a few injuries that he has played through in the past. Eventually, that will catch up to him and he's going to take a hit he can't play through. Wouldn't be surprised if it happens this coming season.

Of course he does. He's not going to request an extension to make less. He wants more guaranteed money. If they can get him for $55 or less for 2 years mostly guaranteed and a non-guaranteed 3rd year, I think both sides are happy enough to get it done. He's definitely worth more than Tua.
Yeah, but then almost half of our cap room is gone. If we re-sign Jackson, we would have almost nothing left for other free agents. How do we get better on defense? Can't count on the draft to fill all of our needs especially at both CB and LB. We certainly couldn't bring in a top WR which we will need with Kupp and Robinson leaving. Maybe we could get Robinson back but then we REALLY have nothing left cap wise.
As I've said before, with the signing bonus, Stafford made almost 100mil in year one of this deal alone. It was front loaded and he knew that when he signed. It's kinda scummy to now demand more when he knew it was structured that way.
I would teach him a lesson. Trade him to a team like the Giants, he likely won't last a season behind that crappy line.

Also, how many time last season did Stafford not see or look at wide open receivers and instead tried to force the ball to Puka or Kupp when they were completely covered? It happened quite a few times and was annoying as hell.

I agree totally LTRF. Now the Rams are the suggested team of all of the high priced FAs that are being sent onto the market like the following two: Jonathan Allen and Jaire Alexander.

The two teams most infatuated with Stafford are the Raiders and the Geeants. Brady is pushing hard and so are the Geeants. The Rams have recently upped the ante on what they want back and this may be a super haul of Draft picks the likes we have not seen since the John Hadl trade by the Rams way back in the day!!

I watched a really good podcast on Youtube called Fitz&Whit. It is a weekly podcast of started by Ryan Fitzpatrick and of course Andrew Whitworth.

This week's episode they had Sean Mcvay as their guest. They talked about alot of things and one of the topics was the 2018 Snooperbowl loss. They also discussed the 2019 season and that very bad Draft and what is going on with Kupp and Stafford.

McVay admitted he was too young and overwhelmed in 2018 and he made alot of mistakes he now regrets. Finally, the dude is seeing his own mistakes as potentially one of the reasons the Rams are not better with all of the talent they have had the past 8 years.

I must say, that my respect for McVay increased just a tad because he is finally seeing that many of his approaches and habits with the Rams could have been way better. Hopefully things will change for the better.

I hope this was not another rendition of that ole McVay habit of admitting to doing shit, then expressing his desire to do better, than doing shit and not changing a thing!!

Well, if history has anything to do with it, we shipped Kurt Warner to the Geeants for next to nothing, so why not see if we can get the Third Overall pick and much more this time around with Stafford!!

He's already signed for this season with a cap hit of $50M. If you restructure his deal for $50M per, there is no additional cap hit for 2025. He wants security BEYOND this season (and maybe a little bump per year of course).

Highly unlikely the Rams get a 1st for Stafford.

How do you know there will be no additional cap hit this season after giving him a raise? How do we give a guy millions more with no cap repercussions? If it doesn't hit us this season, it will certainly next season or the year after where we are scheduled to have the most cap room in the NFL.
