Glad to see Duran and Ornelas getting a chance to play today.

Think he's just legitimately good.
When he finishes this year with an ERA around 3.25-3.50 and pitches another 180 innings, can we please give him an extension? He's the type of dude you just want to root for.

Smith is 2 for 3 today with a double, a run scored and an RBI. After a slow start to the spring, he has his average up to .304.

I see our old friend, Leonys Martin, is back with Seattle after spending the last 3 years playing in Japan.

Duran comes up with the bases loaded and his average at an even .300. He hits a double to the wall and takes his average up to .323

That is what I noticed. I worry about them rostering Frazier but I really want Duran to get constant reps

Very possible. Just think with the shift ban his ERA will go up just a bit.
But I wouldn't be completely shocked if he ended up with another sub-3.00 ERA.

It is too bad we didn't let the rebuild work itself out all the way. I would have liked to have seen a team with Foscue, Duran, Smith, Carter, Zavala, and Harris all together in 2024. Along with Ragans, White, Winn, Englert, Dunning, Otto, Bradford, and Kent as possibilities for a rotation headed up by Martin Perez. Those guys along with a couple of really good free agent hitters and the best 2 relievers available in free agency.

also easy to root for him because he’s home grown from our very own farm system, which is a rarity for mlb caliber pitchers.

I hope that is fixing to change.
