When you’re on the same team you see how similar you are

I had a guy who went to my rival high school.

Dirtiest player I ever went against. I hated him so much.

Then we ended up at the same college, had a couple mutual friends and ended up playing intramurals together for 4 years. Became very close friends.

Ironically, the way the friendship ended was over fantasy basketball. A bunch of us got in a free league together to help stay in touch.

He convinced the last place team to make a collusive trade. Lied about it and said it was legit when we called him out, then ghosted the group when our other friend produced emails begging him to make a clearly bad trade because his team had no chance.

He was a dirty SOB.

But I loved him as a teammate.

I'm just shocked that the Lakers kept this absolutely quiet up until now. Hurley would be choice #1 over all the current pro options.

That's what I like about this, even if they don't get him.
