I mean sitting there in 2021 when you take the asset at pick 28 relative to waiting 3 years to make the 41st pick.

What would we be saying about a team that trades the 28 pick in the 2024 draft and all they get back is a 2nd in 2027? Same fucking thing.

Sunk cost

Historically a top 40 pick is worth pretty similarly to a late first

The Lakers were ALLEGEDLY a bad outside shooting team last season. Didn't stop the postseason run.

Actually, no!

Lakers average 36.7% from 3
Sixers average 36.2%
Sweetie…your three point shooters blow and they can’t space the floor. Nobody thinks twice about doubling off of any Laker at the 3 point line. The Sixers have Maxey Melton and now Hield that the defense has to think twice about helping off of. The Lakers don’t have those kind of threats at the 3 point line.

So we agree the Sixers wasted the asset if you’re talking sunk cost. Additionally, this move didn’t have to be made now. He’s only 21. They quit on the asset at a stupid fucking time.

And yet they're still shooting better than the Sixers.

We’ll just revisit this in the playoffs and I’ll tag ya every time I see some one talk about the Lakers shitty distance shooting and its impact on the floor.

Why am I keeping Cov and Hield again?

I never said the Lakers aren't a shitty distance shooting team.

I'm just saying the Sixers are worse.

Maybe you need to look at your own teams stats before trying to talk smack!

I guess you could let them walk but I’m not sure who you think is gonna be better out there

Also batum will cost more than he does now if he doesn’t retire

Miami was one of the worst in the reg season last year and tops in playoffs. Injuries, not meshing, etc. Stats aren’t everything. Roster makeup is a lot of it. Lebron shooting a career high 3 pt % is tilting that Lakers % imo
