Hell no! Poker players would say that the Sixers are pot committed. They could get a haul of picks and young players and none of them will ever be as good as Embiid. They need to keep at it and hope for a little luck that one time it actually works out.

Your reaction tells me such a trade would be massively unpopular in Philly lol

You played basketball in college?

We were doing run downs and the fielders got bored and started waiting until the last second to decide who would hop out and take the throw

One guy waited too late and I planted and poof…felt a pop

Tore one

They found the other torn when they went in to fix the other.

Interesting timing on the surgery then lol.

Thank you Zach for saving Detroit from themselves.

Idk what Detroit does

They seem committed to ivey and Cade as the 1-2

Need more 3/4s who can shoot

What is your take on this @fightinfunbags?

Don’t think his trade value will ever be higher than it will be this summer.
In terms of assessing value, I agree with the premise. His value in a trade is maximized now. But I still think rolling the dice on Embiid being healthy for one playoffs in the next three seasons is a better path than taking 4-5 firsts from a team that will be competing during those 4-5 years and not likely to net any lottery picks. Full disclosure, I’m a guy who believes that most of the time, like 75-80% of the time, you are dealing the best player in a deal, you’re losing the deal.

Le Flop had a little extra pep in his step last night at MSG…

Betcha laker fans wished he played with such enthusiasm every game vs every team at every venue.

I think that's Troy's deal. The right deal would be worth it to break them up imo. I don't know what that is though.

I tend to agree.

6ers aren’t that far off with what Maxey is becoming.

Just have to ride or die and maximize the Embiid window until it closes for good.

All I know is the rest of the eastern conference is breathing a sigh of relief.

Yeah, it's tough.

On one hand, when he is healthy, he's an MVP level player who can lead the Sixers to the finals. But it also seems like every season is spent with the Sixers hoping they can get him to the playoffs healthy and it just doesn't seem to happen.

On the other hand, if you trade him while his value is still high, you can get a haul that would jump start a rebuild around Maxey.

But then you risk him finally getting that healthy season and watching him lead someone else on a deep playoff run.

I guess it would just come down to whether or not the Sixers believe they'll ever get that healthy season.

It's similar to the Lakers with AD. The Lakers have just been lucky enough to have him healthy for the playoffs twice.

It depends on the return. The one huge plus is it would be the biggest trade in NBA history, most likely. They could literally just ask for 10x over the moon and then if they don’t like it. Keep him. At least explore serious conversations imo.
They could probably get a young star in the making, borderline AS player, role player + a ton of picks. If it’s a package you don’t necessarily start over with and you can build around Maxey to compete soon, you have to think about it. I wouldn’t trade him to the East too…unless it’s Cleveland

Coach of the Western conference all star team is up for grabs today. As far as the conference standings the Thunder win the tiebreaks, but they use a different set of tiebreakers for some reason to determine who coaches so if the Twolves win their coach will get it.

They should absolutely trade him

At age 39 he has played 45 of 51 games is averaging 25 points, 7 assists and 8 rebounds. He's shooting 52% from the field and 40% from 3 while averaging 35 minutes per game.

I'd say his "enthusiasm" is just fine.
