Fun on offense. On defense...

If You Say So Wow GIF by Barstool Sports

The defense is part of the fun. Can they score more than they give up?

I don't understand how someone lightning quick can't keep the ball handler in front of them most of the time.

I get Trae will struggle some guarding bigger point guards but it doesn't seem to matter.

You didn't educate me about anything. First what you said was wrong. You don't have the 3rd easiest schedule. You have the 21st easiest schedule. Secondly, my point wasn't about the Cavs end of season record but rather how good they actually are.

Beating up the weak sisters doesn't prove much.

This isn't the same Cavs team from last season. They now have multiple long distance shooters. And at the half way point of the season they're on pace to win 50 and that's with their 2nd & 3rd best players (Garland/Mobley) missing most of the season so far.

Not too many teams that are great against above .500 teams in the East. Especially if you have tough back to backs, injuries or a tough road stretch.

The Knicks have been awful.
Cavs injuries definitely play a part. They were better vs + .500 teams last season.
Bucks, Pacers and C's only teams above .500 against "good teams". C's are just ridiculous.

27-13 against teams over .500 last season.

They lost in the playoffs bc they were still a very young team and it was definitely a bad matchup. Most guys playing their first playoff series. That doesn't mean they can't beat good teams, it means they have to figure out to beat good teams in the playoffs to take the next step

I'm not arguing that they are or are not good. I'm saying you lost 2 of your top players and then went from 13-12 to 26-15.

You see this happen once in a while but it isn't always indicative of a true change in the team.

They were 13-12 before Garland and Mobley went down.

...or Monty decides to bench Ivey again lol

The article where they quoted Monty as saying (and I'm paraphrasing) yea...let's see what he can do with the ball in his hands...we haven't tried that

<mind blown>

nothing gets past you Monty...let's see what the really fast guard can do with the ball

I saw it first thing this morning. Can't remember where, but the story was that a landing spot for D-Lo was the holdup as he wouldn't be a good fit next to Trae.

Did I miss something? Is D-Lo considered an asset right now?

The inflated records at the top are affected by the weakness at the bottom.
To me this is just dumb. I don’t care if you put the Hornets or the Warriors in front of a team with real goals. The team should win the game regardless. Both opponents are dog shit.

Is it me or is it really strange people see 32 percent from deep non ball handling Bruce Brown for 25 mil as a tremendous asset but D Lo is a negative?

In a league where defense is optional for much of the year?

Never said 3rd easiest. said in bottom 3rd (toughest) we have the 21st toughest schedule which is 10th easiest. In you to admit you were wrong?

They have played a similar schedule to many in the conference. tougher than some, as well. Yet only a few teams have a better record so far despite us missing some of our best players for a long stretch.

Not sure how good we are when at full strength but been playing really well without some key guys. we will see if it continues.

Depends. It's not like he can't help anyone. Plus, he only has a player option for next year. For a playoff team, he could be scoring punch off the bench. For a rebuilding team, he'd be good as a transitional guard.

Not a bad contract and the length is not over a long term or anything.

He will be an expiring contract next season.

That doesn't make him an asset.
