Because, you are the only one here who sees Joker as a one way player.

AD and Joel are two of the best defenders in the NBA.

Not being on their level doesn’t equal one way player.

You act like he’s Christian Woods.
Jokic has worked his balls off to be average as a defender. Embiid is elite at both ends. I think if you’re no better than average that makes you a one way player. I can understand if you limit that designation to guys who are a straight liability. I personally don’t.

The Embiid vs Jokic for MVP debate got old after 4-5 times.

Almost on par with Brady vs Manning.

*Yawn*

Yeah but I’m stubborn

Both ends.

Offense is more than scoring.

Compared to Joker, Embiid is a average passer.

If he worked his balls off, he would still never be as good as Joker there.

Does that make Embiid a 1.5 way player?

I think Jokic is the TRUTH.

I also believe he should only have 1 MVP and Joel should have 2.

Both those things can be true at the same time.

Availability is the best ability.

What hurts Embiid are the number of games he misses per year.

Jokic has missed around 10 games his entire career.

It’s without a doubt the worst NBA fanbase on NBA Twitter. They cry non stop about nonsense.

Now that I wouldn't know about. Never have and never will do the twitter.

But I'm not surprised at all to hear that. Been here long enough in CO. that I figured out years ago some Broncos fans cry a lot. So it only makes sense they do it with the Nuggets also.

No doubt. Never questioned Jokic’s offense and would put him a tick above Embiid as an offensive player because of his play making.

Compared to Jokic most every body is.
If he worked his balls off, he would still never be as good as Joker there.
He’s averaged over 6 assists per game this year in a system where they share the ball instead of running so much iso as they did under Doc. The gap between Embiid the defender and rim protector vs Jokic is vast. It’s much larger than the gap between Embiid as a playmaker and facilitator.
Does that make Embiid a 1.5 way player?
Not at all. Embiid is absolutely an elite offensive player.

And that’s why Jokic won his first MVP in 2021. He was available more often than Embiid.

This discussion isn’t about who is MVP. This is about who is the best basketball player. I give the nod to Embiid because he’s elite at both ends of the basketball court.

So Jokic leading the league in double-doubles (60) and being 2nd in trip-dubs (16) had nothing to do with his 1st MVP?
