Lakers may be able to steal Murray since the league doesn’t properly value him

gotta get Russell to waive that option though

Thomas Bryant is so bad that Spo is using Highsmith as the backup 5 for the 2nd straight night since K-Love is out

I was surprised that the Heat signed him. He doesn't fit the Heat profile at all.

I guess it happens to all teams when they play a lot of games in a short period, but the Thunder played a very lazy game on both ends last night. Shot 49 threes on one end and gave up 64 points in the paint on the other. That’s lazy basketball. Combine that with a team that was kind of playing out of desperation due to recent losses and it was a prescription for exactly what it ended up being, a loss. I don’t expect a lot better tonight, hope I’m surprised.

True. Also, I think some of that was trying to avoid AD who was challenging pretty much everything in the paint. It wasn't a terrible strategy except they weren't really hitting their 3's.

They should have tried going directly at AD to see if they could get him in foul trouble. I didn't see much of that.

They should have sat Shai, he has a knee issue. Can’t make too big of a deal out of one game unless you have to.

Yeah, I was surprised to see him playing since leading up to the game, it looked like he was being held out and he was clearly limited. It'll be interesting to see what they do tonight since, right now, the Clippers are the bigger threat.

Found this interesting today.

NBA star players (defined as players who were All-Star or All-NBA selections in that current season or the prior two) average number of missed games per season:

1980's - 10.4 games missed per year.
1990's - 10.6 games missed per year.
2000's - 13.9 games missed per year.
2010's - 17.5 games missed per year.
2020's - 23.9 games missed per year.

Came from the article talking about how you can not win an All NBA award or MVP unless you play 65 games (80% of the season).

He’s not on the injury report so I guess he will play

Davis doesn’t foul when defending.

How often do you see him in foul trouble?

Going directly at him is really not the answer.

It’s better to try and draw him out to the perimeter.

But, even then he recovers if you try to blow by.

The Thunder don’t have many weakness.

But, against the Lakers, interior defense is one of them.

Davis is just a bad matchup for them, on both ends of the floor.

Yeah.

I get it was a holiday.

But, you can’t care so much about winning a battle when SGA not being close to 100% at the end will certainly lose you the war.

It’s the regular Season.

The Thunder won early and have a bit of cushion.

Finishing top 4 is what’s important, not being able to brag about being #1 in the West in mid January.

Exactly, but if you had just held up your end in Minny the other night the Thunder could have said that! I guess a tie in mid January going to have to be good enough because the schedule is pretty rough for a while now.

LMAO

Why would D Lo do that?

Who do you see lining up to give him 18 mil next year, Detroit?

@fightinfunbags Dlo your free agent target this Summer?

With the new rules about having to be over the minimum floor to get rev share money, someone will probably still pay him for a year

Idk.

We’ll see what the lakers do here

Hawks need to dump some 2024/25 salary though somehow

Nobody cares, or will remember, who is #1 in January…lol

Have you heard a single fan or talking head mention the Wolves as a legit contender?

I like them and I love Ant.

But, they are fools gold.

Thunder are good.

I saw they want 2 first rounders for Murray.

They still owe San Antonio picks through 2027.

Shedding salary isn’t enough.

They have to bring back assets.

That’s Reaves, not D Lo.

It’s that juicy 2029 laker pick

And the 2028 clipper pick in a hunter trade

Ps.

You can never count on the Clippers.

They will always let you down….lol
