Davis doesn’t foul when defending.

How often do you see him in foul trouble?

Going directly at him is really not the answer.

It’s better to try and draw him out to the perimeter.

But, even then he recovers if you try to blow by.

The Thunder don’t have many weakness.

But, against the Lakers, interior defense is one of them.

Davis is just a bad matchup for them, on both ends of the floor.

True, you don't see him get in foul trouble much, but when you do, it's usually from players going right into his chest. It's definitely not easy to do because he's athletic enough to avoid fouls.

Problem is, to pull him out of the paint, they have to hit 3's (or at least midrange shots) which wasn't happening.

Agree though, the Lakers, especially AD, aren't really a good matchup for them. The Lakers are too physical. On the other hand, they aren't a great matchup for the Lakers because of their ability to run. Kind of one of those..."who can make the other play their style" situations.

Probably why the Lakers got boatraced in the 1st game which was played at OKC's pace and won the last 2 by single digits which were played at the Lakers pace.

Yeah, the Thunder missed a ton of shots.

They will have a hard time beating the Lakers if you can just pack the paint.

That makes things much harder for SGA.

I don’t know if OKC can sustain their hot shooting all season.

But, I know they won’t shot this bad either.

They are a really good team.

Flush this one and come out stronger in 2 games.

I would say a case could be made for both over the last 4 years.

Joker got the edge for the one MVP Season because he was dominant.

He got the other because he was dominant and Joel missed games….imo

He’s had 3 unless of course you think defense doesn’t matter. Embiid’s loss should remind everyone again the impact he has on defense. The Sixers are night and day different without him on both ends. Joel Embiid has established himself as the best two way center in the game for quite some time now.
