The Nets trade makes no sense. You get a bunch of role players and a guy that can't fit with Garland (Cam). So basically a backup PG and meh.
Every trade generally has a loser, some are just on that end of it more than others.

Kawhi was that dude.

1st team all NBA 3 times.

And the year the Raptors won the title and he hit free agency? A lot people were talking about him as possibly the best in the game.

Unfair to set that as somebody’s floor.
Yep

so easy to be a reporter as fans love trade rumors (I cannot even say I don't like seeing them) but as you said this one is nuts.....Cannot see the Cavs trading him to the Nets without getting Bridges and more then cannot see the Nets making a deal as why would Mitchell agree to stay with what is left?

I've even seen some say they now think he'll stay included Sam Amico who used to love to rip the Cavs. I'd say at least 50-50 he stays.

How many seconds to land okoro?

Every trade? I'd say far from it. I mean, can make a case when it comes to Mitchell both Utah and the Cavs are happy with what they received. would even say been many times a team that looked like they won a deal when it was made wound up on the short end of the stick when all was said and done.

sure, there is usually a team that "lost" most deals if that means what they received at time of deal and how it affects current winning.....but in these deals many teams are not in win now mode.

Not sure if being serious but if you are thinking takes more than seconds and to get Okoro would acquire a player that can help the Cavs win now.

I do wonder if they are looking to extend him when they are able again and if he'd stay for less than he might get on open market.

"Every"

But either way was not trying to say you were wrong.....just saying IMO there are a number of trades where both teams got what they wanted from it in the end.
Yeah I get it and sometimes it’s years before we know.

You’re going to be deep into the tax paying him

eventually going to be deep anyway after they resign Mitchell to a larger deal and then Mobley. If they pay Okoro, say, $12-15 mil not a crazy amount more than he already gets.

I’m laughing at the thought of Mitchell staying right now

It sounds unlikely.

But yeah if they’re that confident he’ll stay them that’s fair

why are you laughing since he has not said anything to imply he does not like it here and screamed with excitement when he heard he was coming here (and we kept Mobley, Allen and Garland)?

Been some so-called insiders lately who are even saying they think he'll stay.....if you believe those guys.

And if he wont they will move him over the summer IMO.

Only real value for me in that Lakers debacle was getting to see the new guys in garbage time (most of the fourth). Liked what I saw from Mays (Windler didn't do a lot).

Kinda sad to see the Suns playing their big 3 guys in different pairings deep into the 4th with a 20-30 point lead and the Lakers' starters long since benched. I don't think they all were done until about 4 minutes left. Vogel must be a nervous guy.

They haven’t played many minutes together.

Maybe he wanted to give the unit some burn against the bums on your roster?

Just so happens this game the bums were the starters.

So, yeah…..

Could have sat them sooner.

The Raptors just traded for Quickley.

So, does a Siakam for Dejounte and a contract make sense?

Looks like both those guys will be gone soon.

Sounds like it’s Dallas or Atlanta for Pascal and Lakers , Bulls, Raps for Dejounte.

If the Hawks end up swapping him for Lavine, which is also a rumor, I’m dead.

A Trae/Zach Backcourt could score 55 a game while giving up 70.
