don't buy it.

When harden quits he takes like 9 shots and plays with the enthusiasm of me taking out the garbage

sounds like Joel doing his usual anyone but me routine

Harden went for 45 and 42 in that series

he shot poorly in game 6 but attempted 16 shots. but had 9 dimes

everyone sucked in game 7. Harden could have scored 50 and they'd have lost

Something like this

Some guys are salary or pieces to aggregate later for a deal
No.

Stop this fuckery.

I apologized MONTHS AGO for insinuating you you were indoctrinated.

Why do you insist on trying to hurt me?

I don't want him.

Clippers obviously don't either, unless its for pesos on the dollar.

You think Terrance fucking Mann would have been a sticking point for Dame or even Jrue?

I get it.

I think the heat are a better fit anyway. They have a multi year window

If the clippers stumble, this gets ugly

But if you aren’t pushing your chips in like Phoenix and Boston and even Denver…why aren’t you cashing chips in?

Money quote from the link ^^^^

“Quite frankly, with this new CBA, dynasties are over,” Warriors star Draymond Green said on his podcast in April. “You’ll always remember us because we’re the last dynasty you’ll be able to speak of.”

You are right

They really don’t

Even though they should

But I’m fine balking at the price

If the experiment falters you’re a risk to lose kawhi and George and harden all for nothing

That’s why I tried to thread the needle

I still think you need a pg

The clippers wanna make a deal while keeping their core rotation in tact

That makes sense

Curious if they put mann in the holiday offer since both bob and mann can net them a first via future trade

With that core you can't half ass it. Now...if you see James as a negative then I get it...if you're actually entertaining the idea then pausing on Terrence Mann is a little goofy.

Harden’s play was uneven. You can argue that he’s not bringing the right mindset and was too me centered in his play but I don’t know that I can say he “quit”. I just think he played poorly. Like you said, I think mostly everyone played poorly in Game 7. Maybe this is about the 4th Q of Game 6. For me, number 1 is the MVP can’t go the last 5 minutes of that 4th Q without more than 1-2 touches. I first blame Embiid for not demanding the ball and second Harden for not realizing that he has to get 21 the ball.

I think that's just James at this point. He's gonna run hot and cold and to your point he needs to know when he's off and get a guy like Embiid the rock. But to say he quit isn't fair. He has definitely quit before. I don't see last year as a time that was one.

...to which the Clippers are saying kick rocks

I think if they went protected first it would get done.

Guys like Morey are always trying to convincingly win a deal instead of making one that puts it to bed.

But to his credit the last time he hardballed he got Harden out of Simmons

Gotta admit it's fun seeing that kind of crowd for a preseason game. Warriors fans are kinda legit.

Kings fans too, nice rivalry between those two

Surprised to see so many starters still in the game in the 4th quarter in a preseason game. Lakers are supposedly using the first 3 quarters as a dress rehearsal tonight, so the 4th will likely be South Bay time.

Lakers did sign summer league MVP Louis King to a Exhibit 10 contract yesterday, so maybe he gets some 4th quarter run tonight before being waived to South Bay.

Too many options to juggle tonight; NFL, NBA preseason and Syracuse football. If Lawrence is out tonight, that quickly trims down to NBA and NCAA.

The impasse is this:
- Sixers have a big carrot in front of them. Harden and Harris off the books this summer relieves $75 million in cap space. On top of that they have very few commitments next year beyond Embiid, Tucker, BBall Paul, and Maxey’s cap hold.
- Teams aren’t valuing Harden to the point where they’re willing to give up what it takes to get the Sixers to give up on seeing that cap relief.

I think the way this goes now is Harden goes scorched earth forcing the Sixers hand to take a 1st, a swap, and Clippers expiring garbage.
