It was over when Melton fouled out. Pat Bev had 26 haha. Dude was hitting step back 3s. He started the season 3-23 from three. It’s a crazy sport. Not much you can ever take from a pre Christmas regular season game but in this case the bench pieces got a little more confidence and guys who aren’t usually assessed doing things they aren’t asked to do got assessed tonight. Bamba should get some looks at 5 so that BBall Paul could be used in a PJ Tucker-like 4 role playing some minutes alongside Embiid.

Nurse should be fucking around with as many combinations as possible. The thing about their bench is that it has guys who can do different things. I don’t want to see Marcus Morris anymore. We’re just wasting time there. He can’t defend anybody anymore so he can’t get playoff minutes.

Funny you mention Marcus Morris. I used to really like Mook when he was in green... but one of my main takeaways after watching the game last night was his terrible defense... guy is just past it, you'll find better D at the local YMCA.

Robert Covington, OTOH, I thought he was still doing what he has always done at a pretty decent level. He remains a steady (if limited) 3&D guy that can still be very valuable... even into the playoffs.

That James Harden trade was a great deal for Philly. Unfortunately.

Very true. I didn’t realize Gordon was out too I thought it was just Murray so that’s definitely better.

I was just watching and saw the lead go from 9 at the end of the first, to 7 at the half, to just 3 at the end of the third and had a bad feeling, but even though Phoenix tied it up a few times they still pulled it out.
