Has to be it. You ever heard it’s ok for an offensive player to touch the rim while the ball is still above the cylinder? The heat won. Was it because i wasn't able to watch?
It won me a parlay so I'm not mad at the one-time rule change lmaoHas to be it. You ever heard it’s ok for an offensive player to touch the rim while the ball is still above the cylinder?
They said it didn’t impact the ball, no way to say that for sure. You watch the last quarter of that game I bet you would agree that every other player in the league would have got at least one technical if they acted how Draymond did. Is what it is.It won me a parlay so I'm not mad at the one-time rule change lmao
What was the excuse they gave for the reversal though?

The same thing every team says..
So sounds like the refs didnt know what the hell they were doingThere were 2 explanations. The refs at the time said that it was because Dray touching the rim was inconsequential to the shot. Later, it was "clarified" to Giddey touched the net (defensive goaltending) before Dray touched the rim.
They did not say that at the time and Giddey hasn’t been mentioned in anything I saw about it today.Actually, they clarified it later and said Giddey touched the net first. Reporters asked Giddey about it in the presser after the game. He said nothing was said to him about it at the time.
Most likely. The heat won. Was it because i wasn't able to watch?

I’ll buy that more when I see it said, I don’t think it was considered at the time because it would have been in the explanation.Maybe. Or they just flubbed the explanation. Giddey did touch the net first, that would have ended the play with defensive goaltending making Drays touching the rim "inconsequential".
If they had explained it that way at first, there would have been a lot less confusion.

I’m not saying it was for sure a screw job, it’s over, but I have yet to see anything from the league that even says Giddeys name. Maybe it will come.Unless they simply flubbed the explanation. This isn't the screw job you want it to be. Had the reverse happened and Dray touched the rim first, it would have made Giddey touching the net inconsequential.
If you want to see it said, watch the presser from last night. They had Chet and Giddey out there and Giddey was asked about it.
That’s some day after spin of what happened. That bothers me more than the call. If they cite Giddey immediately I feel more comfortable with how it played up. The changing up casts doubt.Actually, they clarified it later and said Giddey touched the net first. Reporters asked Giddey about it in the presser after the game. If they ruled that Giddy hitting the net was the call then the last bucket review announcement should have said defensive goaltending. I don’t know how that gets ruled though. If there is a call of defensive goaltending on a made bucket is it like a declined penalty in football and the bucket counts and goaltend isn’t recorded?Maybe. Or they just flubbed the explanation. Giddey did touch the net first, that would have ended the play with defensive goaltending making Drays touching the rim "inconsequential".
