Wow. See I put that team in the top 4 all time teams which makes them super to me. Who are your top all time teams?

That team had 5 Hall of Famers on it.

One of them was Bill Walton, but it was one of maybe 3 healthy seasons he had in the NBA. He played in 80 games and won 6th man of the year.

Of course they were a superteam. lol

No he's an all NBA player like Ray Allen and Paul Pierce

Plenty of MVP talk (to be fair, most people don't put him top 3-4 for that)

Yeah I think in the end this Celtics team ain't quite there.

A very controversial one.

One that many people on here say he didn’t deserve.

Allen and Pierce were both all NBA multiple times.

I obviously have a different definition of super team. I don’t believe there have been very many of them. Some of the greatest teams ever weren’t super teams.

Were they?

The term wasn’t created until the late 2000s describing a team that was built around multiple prime superstars.

Just because some of the greatest teams ever don’t fit that narrow definition doesn’t take away from their greatness.

I guess it's just words...super...greatest...kind of interchangeable. If you're one of the greatest teams of all time aren't you also 'super'?

It isn’t just words.

It is a term that was invented around 2010 when superstars began joining forces with each other and a 3rd star.

That is the history of the term.

So if we go back and apply the term to teams from past eras, it should only be used to describe teams built with the same model.

And there are not very many.

They are said to be studying ways to make things more fair to the defense. Make guys learn how to dribble would be a good start,

And go back to the real basketball travel rules….but then again even college doesn’t call the real rules anymore

They also need to get rid of the corner 3, narrow the lane and move the 3 back to the timeline if not get rid of it entirely

True, but the rules need to match the way the game is called. And using the word evolve kind of implies the change is for the good. Far from true.

Obviously they aren't getting rid of 3 pointers but I've mentioned getting rid of the corner 3 before. Instead of the 3 point arc bending and turning into a straight line to the back line, just have the arc continue until it hits the sidelines. Or have it bend horizontally at that point to the sidelines.
