True, but the rules need to match the way the game is called. And using the word evolve kind of implies the change is for the good. Far from true.

Obviously they aren't getting rid of 3 pointers but I've mentioned getting rid of the corner 3 before. Instead of the 3 point arc bending and turning into a straight line to the back line, just have the arc continue until it hits the sidelines. Or have it bend horizontally at that point to the sidelines.

The term wasn’t created until the late 2000s describing a team that was built around multiple prime superstars.

Just because some of the greatest teams ever don’t fit that narrow definition doesn’t take away from their greatness.

Just because the term wasn't created until the 2000's, doesn't mean it can't be applied to past teams. The Showtime Lakers were also superteams.

No, but I'm not sure it's because of the amount of passing.

Imo, the emphasis on passing is a symptom.

The problem is the rule changes that have all been to favor the offense.

And with the loosening of the intentional grounding rule, it's likely to get worse.

It would definitely cut down on the number of 3's taken.

Some guys would have to stop shooting 3's altogether and others would be shooting fewer.

And it wouldn't really affect guys like Steph, Dame, etc.

Steph does end up in the corner after running around to get open sometimes but he'd be least affected, him and Dame and a couple others
