how's embiid rehab looking

I’ve been out of the loop but as far as I know, there’s no update yet. The time table likely has him getting reevaluated mid March.

They should be getting back Tobias Batum and Melton this week and Lowry likely makes his debut. I would imagine RoCo is still out with that knee situation. I would expect with Embiid being out that they go with a ton of 3 guard lineups. Right now Hield Maxey and Melton are in their best 5 for closing out the game. I would expect to see some Batum playing small ball 5.

I don't know about it being Lebron. I think it's more about the income of the players involved. A bunch of millionaires joking, hugging and shaking hands (not just teammates) after every game takes a lot of that edge away. We need more pettiness, grudges and sore losers, lol.

It would have been nice for him to have participated...especially since many of the all-time greats that he wants to be considered part of participated, including MJ and Kobe.

But he didn't ruin it...there not being any more original dunks left is what has ruined it. That and ALL of the star level players stopped participating, not just Lebron.

I guess fair to say maybe more stars would do it if Lebron had but that's not his responsibility.

I think TF12 has it right, even if the great players participated, there aren't any more dunks to do. It's all repeating now. Jaylen Brown kinda showed that.

You can still be good at it. Aaron Gordon put on a show back to back years. Main issue with the dunk contest is these guys lack creativity. Everyone is so lazy as we saw on Saturday because it was all similar dunks. I would put in a rule where you can’t use another person to jump over and hopefully that can bring back the creativity
