thing was, he was doing welll. He started gettingg time in 2016 with buffalo, eventually getting 9 starts...

Then in 2017 the 49'ers signed him, and started him all 16 games, had desean jackson like numbers 56 catches, 976 yards, only 2 td's a robus 17.2 y/c good for 3rd in the nfl....

Then jimmy got hurt, godwin got hurt and only started 8 games still had 17.2 ypc. Then jimmy came back and poof hes gone. He battled a hammy and thigh bruise in 2018

Im sure theres a bit more to the story and maybe a 49'er fan can fill us in. But goodwin can fly...hes an olympic athlete

Edit: 4.25 guy

Maybe they just didn’t click again or the injuries slowed down Goodwin. Some things just dont make sense lol. I think he can be a much better player again on different team, will be good for him.

I would take him as the Browns #3

Oh I think he's good. I just am throwing it out there that lamb or jeudy or more of a technician could be a better fit for the 49ers....

yeah but I think Jeudy and Lamb are projected to go before the Niners pick...if one of those drops then definitely.

The 'Strong Opinion Sports' guy has the QBs ranked:

1. Burrow
2. Tua
3. Love
4. Eason
5. Herbert

And he thinks there is clear gaps between the QBs.

All of the youtube people watching film can't be wrong about Herbert, can they?

If there is a run on WRs before the Eagles pick and Kenneth Murray is there I'd have no issues at all with them taking him.

I'm not a huge Hebert believer..... but def over Eason......but yeah that's wel ThTs that
I think thats a fair statement. Love, Herbert, and Eason should all sit a year imo so their success is almost entirely dependent on which team drafts them imo.

I agree. I think Hebert can be ok. Straight up as he is. He can be a daltonish guy, or a jimmy g . Eason and love I don't get the hype. I see the size and intangibles. But fff Eason has some crap. And love had one really good year in a crap conference and regressed terribly. Plus rumor has it his x n o work is awful....so yeah he lost a lot Of guys n new coaches, but if he can't adapt,
Or break down plays well.... then see yah

An anonymous NFL executive in personnel told the Athletic's Bob McGinn that Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons is "the most overrated player in the draft."
NFL coaches and general managers prefer certitude, and that's nearly impossible to come by as it pertains to Simmons' role. In a poll of 16 executives asking what they thought his best position would be in the NFL, 10 replied weak-side linebacker, three said nickel linebacker, one said outside linebacker and two said safety. “If you put this guy at sam linebacker only, he’s going to struggle,” said an AFC executive. “If you put him at free safety only, he’s going to struggle. You’ve got to be creative." A two-year starting hybrid specialist who earned the 2019 Dick Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker, Simmons played snaps at linebacker, safety, and nickel corner in college, allowing merely 5.6 yards per target given his elite sideline-to-sideline coverage skills. It would be wise for front offices to avoid pigeonholing him into any type of role, instead allowing him to roam free and naturally create plays at the next level.

SI's Albert Breer reports Kyler Murray has "campaigned for" the Cardinals to take Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb with the No. 8 overall pick.
It would be so fun to watch this offense if Arizona pulled the trigger on Lamb, but there are just so many other holes on this roster, particularly along the offensive line. Most believe the Cardinals will take one of the big four tackle prospects. Still, pairing Lamb with DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald, and Christian Kirk in four-wide sets would be electric. The Cardinals also have early- and mid-round 2019 picks Hakeem Butler, Andy Isabella, and KeeSean Johnson on the team. Lamb, of course, played with Murray at Oklahoma.

This is exactly how I feel. There has been some talking about him for the Browns if he falls to 10, but I don't care one bit for taking a guy that early that is a "jack of all trades" guy instead of being elite at one spot.

IF that is true, I agree....but there are others out there who think he could excel at more than one position (even though LB might be his best and he could be elite there).

That's just it though. If I'm taking him at the end of the first round, terrific. However, in the top 10, I need a guy who I know has mastered one position and is going to be able to make the transition. IMO, Simmons has Jabril Peppers written all over him in terms of position ambiguity, and could take a while to truly get his feet under him.

We don't really KNOW what most guys will be......But most had Peppers going where he did while many seem to think Simmons is much better. He's also bigger and as fast or faster than Peppers.

I mean, if the Ravens could only draft one from among Ray Lewis and Ogden who do you think they would have taken? It's a no-brainer to me.

I wouldn't necessarily lump this guy as a tweener like, say, Derrick Williams who many thought might not be good enough to play SF or PF.
