Don't NFL players get paid in the state the game is played in?
Earnings/taxes differ based on the schedule?
(Essentially I bury my money in coffee cans in the yard, so forgive my ignorance here.)

If you play on Americas Team, you get better perks.

Yes they pay taxes in each state they play. It get a bit complicated, and I won't even attempt to explain it. Read up if you like.I've heard something like that. Apparently a local radio talk show host is friends with a MLB umpire and said that they have to pay taxes for any state they worked in.

Like getting to ride on Jerry's stripper bus?
Hmm.. How many 21-22 yr olds would sacrifice a few 100k (out of millions) to live in LA rather than Philly? My guess is the overwhelming majority.
Eh, they get you different ways. Texas has the highest property taxes, and California is less than half of Texas.
For a top 5 pick, that ends up being significant when you buy your castle.
Top pick will end up with better endorsement's, too, to pad his wallet.
True, but you know any top 5 pick is going to buy a massive house near their team, so the dynamic ends up playing out.Difference is that you HAVE to get paid by the team, you can CHOOSE to buy a house anywhere you like.
