Eventually (hopefully sooner rather than later) Scribner, Furbush and Cook will all be in the bullpen and I'd guess that Guaipe, Montgomery and either Paxton or Karns (whichever one is not in the rotation) will be sent down.

We could also see Montero fairly soon too if one of the starting bats gets off to a slow start. For me, I'm done with Montero. Ready to move on. But the position players in AA and AAA are so wretchedly horrible that it will probably be Montero by default. Either him or Romero. Two proven failures at the MLB level....

I've been seeing a lot of articles stating that Peralta is virtually a lock for the BP. Also Montgomery is out of options, so he will either be on 25 or waived. Not sure if he will clear waivers or not...

No way Montgomery will clear waivers.

I don't think Montgomery has any more options... He can't be sent down... He'd have to be DFA'd or something..

... whoops... Just noticed this was already addressed in here...

With the Furbush injury, I think that gives Montgomery a spot in the bullpen.

Right now the bullpen is tough to guess still. I think there may be a piece added before the 25 is set whether it be trading Montero or something else.

I'd say:

Catcher- Ianetta, Clevenger
1st- Lind, Lee
2nd-Cano
3rd-Seager
SS- Marte
UTL- Sardinas
OF- Smith, Guti, Martin, Aoki
DH/OF- Cruz

Rotation: Felix, Kuma, Miley, Walker, Paxton

Bullpen: Cishek, Benoit, Zych, Nuno, Montgomery, Guaipe, **Added player**

DL: Furbush, Scribner, Cook
AAA: Romero, Karns, O'Malley, the rest of the bullpen guys

Montero: traded or DFA'd

Paxton has been awful today.

3.2 innings pitched, 9 hits, 7 ER, 2 BB.

I knew should have been dealt early in December when teams were asking about him. Bedard 2.0.

Posted in another thread that it's unfortunate he isn't pitching like he wants to earn a spot

I don't think his attitude or motivation is the problem. He came to camp this year in better shape than any previous years. That implies motivation, I think. So he is either hurt, or his brain is broken, or he has just been carved on one time too many.
