Brian Kelly did a lot of work for restoring ND and presumably Fickell will do very well.

I suspect the Domers will be in good hands, though the hiring itself is shocking because I figured Kelly was going to life it.

Promoting Freeman is semi dangerous but could also be inspired. I actually wanna see what he can do. He'll get an HC gig in the go around no matter what.

Do I feel it's a dirty move the way it was done? Yep sure do! Do I blame Kelly? Nope! Kelly wants to win a national title and he can't do that at ND when the academic standards are higher than the national requirements. So go to a school where he can land the athlete's he needs to win a title. I read this morning ND may target the Iowa State and Cincinnati coach, we'll see.

LSU didn’t care at all about coach Os moral failings, those people don’t care about much. Just win every year, that’s all that matters. Kelly will get a buyout at some point, you can mark that one down.

It’s catching on I guess, OU had it happen one other time back in the 1940s and it was the guy that replaced Wilkinson so he likely just didn’t want to get fired.

It’s definitely a ceiling. Especially with the whole no conference thing.
