I can say this as many times as need be said. Ogando as a 5th starer > Ogando as a bullpen arm. For the regular season it makes more sense for him to start games, because you get more use out of him. If the team makes the post season, what a wonderful addition he makes to the post season roster as a middle relief/long man.

The key is... Harrison > Ogando

The belief is... Perez > Ogando

Its Irrelevant if Ogando SP > Ogando RP at that point

If you can improve the 5th starter position, then you do it

Ogando's numbers as a reliever are a bit better than they are as a starter. He seems to me to get in trouble with his pitch count too often to pitch deep into games. His best year was 2010 when he pitched only out of the pen. I've always wondered whether stretching him out to become a starter the next year might have hindered his development, since he's never been dominant since then.

Weaver hadn't been. Not sure what's going on with him tonight. The Orioles are running out of pitchers against Dbacks. Tomorrows starter Norris in relief. Johnson blew it in the 9th for 2nd straight game.
