There was a nice article in today's DMN about Beltre and where he ranks and potential for the HOF. Forget who wrote it though. But do remember this: he ranked Adrian in the top 5 all time for 3rd basemen!

Yup pitching for Astros is different than pitching in a high stress situation like in Balmer trying to get into playoffs.

I get the TV game here in VA and the shot of Norris in the dugout before he imploded showed him doing things to try and keep his back loose. Did not work but he was trying to keep from getting stiff. Balmer did not get much help picking up him. That team is a lot like the old Rangers teams that tried to slug their way to the playoffs. Davis is great with HRs this season but they are prolly not gonna make playoffs again because pitching blows.

The other night MLB Network said Cabrera was the top 3rd baseman followed by Machado. When it comes to all around Beltre is right up there because of Cabrera's defensive limitations. Machado is not there yet.
