I am wondering what Walcotts position work will be for this year and going forward

He will stay at SS for now. He nay get a little work at 3B.

I would like to see him get some work in the OF, but the Rangers are usually reluctant to do that before what seems like the last minute.

Why do you say that? Astros have very lttle to offer on their farm. Is there a MLB guy they would give up?

don't know just wondering. trading Pressley removes around 13M and they're probably getting a couple of decent prospects that along with an Astro player or two could get them Helsley who only gets 8.1M.

I think they would have to dump more to get Bregman back. I believe I read that somewhere.

I was wondering if they were doing this to get Bregman back. But I wasn't sure how much money they have freed up totally in order to sign him.

It would be funny if the Rangers pulled another deal for Pressley like they did for Napoli. Let the division rival trade him and them trade with the team that got him. Not saying they would even consider it, but it was funny when we pulled that off before with Napoli.

Did they clear enough to get Bregman or is it just to avoid luxury tax

So despite the stats, I just was not impressed with him and thought he was on the way downhill
But a Napkike trade for someone would certainly be welcome
