Wow I guess 60 million is what Diamond tried to pushFrom the Star Telegram:
The club’s goal is to broaden local viewership of their regular-season games, while coming as close as possible to their previous annual right’s revenues generated from their collapsed TV deal with Bally Sports. Their original contract with what was then Fox Sports Southwest was in the area of $110 million every year.
Last year, as a band aid deal with Bally Sports, the figure was reduced to $90 million.
The team is now trying to maximize what they can get, which industry experts project to be a bit more than $60 million for the 2025 season.
Anything that weakens the Astros, I’m for.It looks like the Astros will trade Tucker to the Cubs.
I have asked some of the writers why the Rangers do not want a RH bat to platoon with Carter instead of a LH bat. None of them have answered me.
haven't heard anything eitherI have asked some of the writers why the Rangers do not want a RH bat to platoon with Carter instead of a LH bat. None of them have answered me.
I heard that they’re interested in Joc Pederson
Good news.From Evan Grant:
Carter continuing to progress well, expected to be ready for spring training without restriction
It depends on who we trade to free up money. If Adolis is traded he would play LF. If Lowe is traded, Burger goes to 1B and Josh rotates between DH and just about everywhere else when players are rested or are injured. No way I want to trade Josh Smith. And think he has upside not yet achieved
But where do you play him? I prefer him in the IF but would have to move someone to 1B
I think Josh ideally playtime but Marcus needs to sit alot more. if Lowe is traded then theta frees him up more but we are worse defensivelyIt depends on who we trade to free up money. The left side of the infield alone will give him 50 to 60 starts. Those guys are injured a lot. Semien needs to miss 15 to 20 games this year as well.
Josh can start 130 to 140 games on this team, easily.
