I really hope it’s just a bunch of posturing.
The players and MLB need to make damn sure they don’t have a lock out
It would be really bad for the sport.

What are the main topics they can’t come to terms with?
I know of a few things but maybe I missed a couple that are big deals that I’m not aware of?

well they have until Dec 1 to reach an agreement. heard that agents are telling their free agent clients to wait until the new CBA is approved before reaching a deal and it could affect any possible deal for Suzuki too

I found this that was presented in the last meeting they had. I don't care for either of these proposals myself.

"Major League Baseball, as part of its proposal to the players’ association last month, offered to curtail the impact of service time by creating a formula to disperse $1 billion to all arbitration-eligible players and make free agency universal at 29 ¹/₂ years of age, The Post has learned. … In its proposal addressing service time, MLB was, at minimum, looking to address the union’s concern about service-time manipulation."

"What MLB proposed was to create a $1 billion pool (and to tie that pool total to revenue in future years) for all eligible players, to replace arbitration. A formula would be created to determine how much players would receive. Arbitration-eligible players received roughly $650 million for this season."

IOW they are miles and miles apart

And trying to get over being such a hater of the Astros. If I was a betting man I think I still go Astros
But hope ATL squeaks by. If they can get a lead in the 8th do think Braves can lock it down. No trust in Chavez and Jackson is such a flip of the coin what you are getting. Innings 5-7 are critical especially for Braves IMO
