they and Kyle Cody will be placed on the 60-day IL on February 17th. Cody will not be available until after the All-Star game or later. wouldn't be surprised if Leclerc and Hernandez are both trade before deadline

are there any good FA bullpen pieces? if not then I am OK with that. but as ATL has demonstrated once again, a strong BP is crucial.

With a couple of exceptions this year, I thought the BP was fairly decent.

I'm assuming most of you guys will be rooting for the Braves. It should be a good series.Just wanted to make a couple of remarks. i really hope Correa does not have a huge series at the plate. He could easily get crazy and go the Lindor route and it would be a disaster imo if Rangers locked him in for that sum. Rendon and Davis are good examples why I feel this way. Gallo to some extent is another example. He proved he could hit 40 HR in a year and hit rock bottom the next. Of course I'm speculating but I really believe we will be better off pursuing Story.

To me, it would make more sense to wait until next year for bullpen pieces, but I still don't know if the front office believes in spending on the bullpen.

Unless Correa has a couple of games in the field like Elvis did that time against Toronto, I think his value as a player is pretty much set. Now, how much that translates to dollars, I am not sure. That all depends on the teams bidding for his services.

I am pretty much expecting whoever we sign to a contract to have a contract between $30-38 million AAV. If we don't try to fill our future roster with more than about 4 free agents, it won't matter how much this one is, as long as it is close to the ballpark I mentioned. We have so much young talent in the pipeline that we should be fine if we have to overpay a free agent or two.

I really don't feel good about Correa. He could go south as I mentioned but he could also be a big negative in the locker room as well. Does not mean he will but he has the mouth to do it with.

Braves in 5 would be best case scenario. That way they win at home and get all 3 games. It's reminding me of the games in 2010-11 for us. Obviously the Braves have been there before, but it's been 22 years for them. Lots of fans going to a World Series game for the first time. There really is nothing like it.

Part of me wants a guy who is hungry for a WS and not just to get a payday. If Houston wins that makes me want Corea less.
