I actually expected them to come to an agreement today after the movement toward the middle last night. Oh well, it is what it is.

I am not a friend or a foe of either side. Both sides wanted things that I didn't want. There is greed and other vices on both sides, but that is because we live in an extremely greedy and vice-filled society. Unlike many, especially in the media, I never adhered to any kind of beliefs or dogma that would make me see one side wearing white hats while the other side wore black hats.

The good thing is, when we win the World Series in 2024, all of this will be a distant memory.

Hypothetically, if a deal is agreed to today and signed tomorrow, my guess is a bunch of deals are completed by EOD Friday.

Well strike that thought. Pretty much a bummer.

Well I could care less about hats and guess here is my final point

CBT revenues skyrocketed
Players salaries did not
No money elsewhere as a whole

Owners did not want to share
For now they have the backing of the federal government.

If someone could bankroll players then the squeeze could come down on owners.

I am not nominating any players from sainthood but the owners are unwilling to be more equitable and baseball suffers

Meanwhile, Chase DeLauter is 4 for 5 today, he is a triple away from a cycle, and he has 8 RBI. He is having a very good season thus far.
