I doubt most teams would see any wisdom in rostering a player who can only backup one position, except catcher, even if the rosters went to 27. Most will probably add one more bullpen piece.

Don't really have a favorite. Watching Gerrit Cole right now.What a pc of work. Hope we make a decent run to get him but really have little expectations.

Your best bet is that he ends up on the west coast.

I had a good cordial conversation with Adam Morris today via Twitter, about the wisdom of acquiring Josh Donaldson for 3 years versus acquiring Anthony Rendon for 7 years. He favored acquiring Donaldson and I did not.

Of course, there is a third option, and that is to acquire neither of them. I suspect that third option is what will happen.

That is just Wasting, Saddles and my opinion. You don't have to like it or agree. I hope we do go with Solak at 2b.

I would imagine an earlier version of Tepid would have said the same about seeing Teixeira play 3B as well, and yet he didn't stay at 3B. The same thing happened to Chris Davis.

Olt was going to be our 3B of the future too.

I think it will happen. Rendon and Cole first come to mind but price may be out of sight but perhaps one of them may be doable. Both could put the team on their way back in contention but have doubts both will happen. Rendon might if he would get off seven yr contract. Hopefully JD ha learned from his mistakes from lengthy contracts and extensions.

No argument here. We will pick up some 3rd baseman this year or let Solak try it out. A good hitter just might move to 1B as in the past.

What is hard to predict is what happens via trade. Once WS is done guess a little bit of smoke clears

Rangers will be dropping money off the payroll after this coming season. You would think with a brand new ballpark at taxpayer expense the owners would pony up. The value of the club had to take a huge increase.

Nationals very likely to make their first ever trip to the World Series. They would be a tough matchup for the Astros because the Astros can be beaten with high end RH starters.

I’m not sure why JD is stockpiling so many lefties when our division rivals are very strong against LHP’s.
