Texas, not so much, with LT eating them alive through the air. I mean, almost 400 passing yards allowed to a mediocre C-USA team, really?

Kind of like last year when the exact same LA Tech QB and receiving corps had almost 400 yards passing versus LSU.

They were both very similar games. The only real diffrence:
2018 LSU was leading by 3 points in the 4th
2019 Texas was leading 38-0 in the 4th

Up (24-7) LSU allowed them to close the gap while falling asleep in garbage time .
Up (38-0) Texas had too big of a lead even if they also fell asleep in garbage time.

Yards dont count. Only the score matters. Both LSU and Texas ended up with blowout wins.

Texas defense does not look good to me. They were lucky they were playing LA Tech. They do not look like a top 10 team to me. LSU could be brutal.

Honest reply, but you still are a fag. Not meaning to imply that razor burn during a BJ is evil, just not for everyone.

LSU played Tech last year.

Is this history class?

Damn near normal Big XII play. Gonna be par for the course of what Texas normally plays against. Texas is probably the most SEC-like Big XII team. Expect better coverage downfield and more pressure on Burrough than Georiga Southern gave LSU. That said, Horns Down, go Tigers.

Yea, Georgia Southern is a good Sun Belt team but, the triple option was easy to defend because LSU's Jimmies were just better than Georgia Southern's Joes. Power football v power football. LSU just had more power.
That is exactly why I hope LSU still has some Ace/ I sets. On average/not always Pac 12/ Big 12 schools have to be quicker and leaner in order to keep up with the spread. LSU has recruited for pound the rock football for quite some time. Maybe Texas’ defense will shut down the power run but maybe not. Have to test it at some point in the game.

Texas is one of those gay teams that loses to Kansas but can beat Georgia. I believe Texas has better corn dogs as well.

Exactly. Texas is a real enigma. I see them winning this one and choking against some mediocre Big 12 team.

Can't speak for this year but, last year Texas defense was a bit more physical than your average Big XII defense (ask Georgia).

Funny you should mention that, Grinch at Oklahoma, has opted for just what you described, a lean fast defense.

want to wager on that?

Yes, $10,000 each. You have your lawyer call my lawyer, and we'll get the funds wired to an escrow account.

lol but seriously, no, i don't really care that much. I just wanted to see who might respond. Congrats, you win.

This is the type of game that TEXAS will win.
It is the MO of Tom Herman dating back to Houston days.

He beats all the top 10 rated teams he plays in OU, FSU, Georgia, USC, etc. He gets his guys to play up.
He loses to un-ranked bottom feeders in UConn, Md, Texas Tech, and SMU. He tends to play down as well.

Texas is not fully back, but they are talented enough to kick anyone's ass when properly motivated.
But, they are not talented enough to simply win by showing up like Alabama. That is Herman's biggest flaw.

I am more worried that they will beat LSU, and then they will look like dogshit versus WVU or K-State.

- LSU and Texas have met only once since 2003, when the Longhorns defeated the Tigers, 35-20, in the Cotton Bowl.
- Texas is 37-18-2 all time against SEC opponents.
- LSU is 11-9-1 all time against Big 12 opponents.
- Texas is 6-2 straight up in its last eight games against LSU.
- Texas is 7-1-1 all time against LSU at home in Austin, Texas.
- Texas finished the 2018 season with a 10-4 record.
- LSU finished the 2018 season with a 10-3 record.

LSU uses opossum grease to fry theirs...just saying.
