Murphy never starts the season well. But usually this is the time he sits for a while then comes back hot. Being an every day player this year, we'll see if he can get himself going w/o that normal sit down for a while.

My beef is more reactionary to the frustration of the two not hitting mediocre pitching recently. Mitch has had some bad breaks and I am confident he gets in turned around more so than Murph

Unable to watch today but I see all those LH bats went 0 for 10 (plus Martin 1BB) against that RHP.

Murphy is absolutely just terrible.

Wash will do anything to put Murphy and Martin into the lineup despite them both being total dead wood.

I figure Wash and the front office will give Murphy another 2 weeks to see if he can turn it around before making a change. Like the Joey Butler promotion idea. He deserves an opportunity.

Not sure what we have seen can be called mediocre pitching. The Cubs pitcher today has good stuff as did a couple of the Mariners pitchers. Trying to hit a pitcher with good stuff in miserable weather is not that easy.

Not sure what we have seen can be called mediocre pitching. The Cubs pitcher today has good stuff as did a couple of the Mariners pitchers. Trying to hit a pitcher with good stuff in miserable weather is not that easy.

... especially if you are a LH bat, the pitcher has a reverse split ... and you are hitting like crap w/three of you are hitting under .200.

The question in my mind is trying to figure out what outcome TEX thought they were planning for with the lineup it ran out there?

I think TEX thought the game was going to be rained out and were thinking about flying home. Last thing on their mind was the game.

Didn't seem to bother SEA or CHC batters much.

The Cubs pitcher had good movement on his pitches which usually spells trouble for the Rangers. I doubt 8 switch hitters would have made much difference today.
I'll give them a couple of more weeks to find their strokes.

Nobody has really torn the cover off the baseball. Seattle got some bloops and the Cubbies had three hits going into the 9th night before last.

I meant that Wood and Villanueva have been mediocre throughout their careers. I understand its early and the weather has sucked so yes lets see where we are in mid May with some of these guys
