He may be demanding more money but it is something every one of us would do if we were offered 25% more somewhere else.

edit:Actually most probably wouldn't even give their current employer a chance to match. Many would just turn in notice. /edit

He's doing a damn good job and it's time to step up and pay the coaches worth keeping and let the one's that aren't performing that same money is available if they do their job.

It's called incentive.

Taken from Journal Star

“Now, if you say, ’It’s a lot of money and Nebraska isn’t going to match it?’ Then, yeah, it’s a done deal, because that’s what it comes down to, getting my contract extended and me getting a lot of money.”

Wow, looks like Pelini taught him how to deal with Eichorst.

Let him go and go out and bring Bill Busch home and pay him more than Joseph. He has NU ties, coaches safeties, and was an outstanding special teams coach when he coached here..

Pay the man. This is how the fucking job market works in the real world. If your employer values your worth, they fucking match it or step it higher just to make a point.

Just means he likes it here if he hasn't left yet.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought one was paid by performance. Me personally I don't think TJ is worth 300k.

Really? Our secondary is one of the few consistent strengths of the team. He's only been here only two years but he stepped in and continued the success there even though he had to replace two starters his first year.

He I think is one of the few position coaches who have experience and perform.

I agree with HP52. I'm not overly impressed with our secondary. Although TJ is a better coach than that dude that left for LSU (? location). Mr. bellyflop fucktard - I don't remember his name.
I would rather have Sanders back, that coach made the secondary a shining star. Ranking 1 & 3 in pass defense. (if memory serves correct)

I recall A.Green / C. Evans / K. Cooper / J. Mitchell - all struggling, none standing out.

The reason it is consistent strength is b c imo we have depth there. Our DLine and backers are very young. Which is why our sexondary needed to play more of a factor in run support. So teams like wyoming and sota and iowa. Dont run all day on us. And teams with simi moble QBs dont makes our Dline and linebackers look deaf dumb and blind out der

It was the short route TE over the middle that got NU burned so many times.

It got to a point where you could count on it.

Exactly preventing anyone from shining in the backfield, or at least making it more difficult. And it's not just youth. It is youth this year but the secondary has consistently had to stop the run.

Ciente Evans has consistently been top in the B1G and A.Green and P.Smith to me have had some very good plays. I expect with a line that seems to be getting a little stouter we will see more from our secondary in the back field.

R_A you are right the middle has been an Achilles heel though I think it got better towards the end of the year.

I believe our pass defense was top ten 2012 and don't know what it was this year but expect it to drop a lot because of our anemic line early in the year.

I would love Sanders back too but it's not happening. Joseph is an excellent coach. If theywon't pony up to keep him, we won't get anything close to him for the money now.

I haven't re-watched the Gator Bowl yet, but I'm pretty sure it was their TE over the middle that dropped the 4th down pass at the end.

Iowa burned NU with it too if I remember correctly.

It was there a lot and any O-coordinator should have had that on his list of go-to's.

I don't think he'll actually get the job but some "insider" on rivals says he'll be on our short list

With Pelini's skewed loyalties he probably is a shoe in. Whatever, I'm starting to get used to having a division 2 staff.
