Meh, they still have RW and Carroll.....they could rebound IMO.

Arizona and SF aren't looking so great right now.

I’d say the D and TD did more than him. He was good at missing open guys and throwing picks though lol
They thought so much of TD's contribution that they shoehorned him into the HOF after a very short career.

Would you tell somebody where you work?
If their GF looked like that I wouldn't have to. They'd already know...

Hey man that guy got the Browns some damn good picks and a solid player! lol

The 3 second round picks for the overall 6 was cringeworthy. Not to mention they took a RB

This deal just shot his value through the roof. If that’s what a 33 year old with no playoff wins gets, I can’t imagine the package the Texans will receive.

Not really. Rams had no first rounder to offer this year. Future picks are typically devalued by a round per year in trade evaluations. Also, they likely had to give a pick to get Detroit to take on Goff's contract. Devaluing the future picks, the haul is now a 2nd and 2 3rds, with at least one pick a sweetener for Goff. This doesn't really impact a Watson trade.

What DOES impact a Watson trade is that at least half the league will try to make an offer. Also, Watson has a no trade clause, so it would have to be an approved destination, so that competition will be focused on a few teams with high draft picks, as he already mentioned the Jets and Dolphins as potential spots. If they are interested, it will take at least 2-3 first rounders to start the discussion, including a high one this year.

Rams are very dumb and have severely hurt their future drafts.

You'd rather have unproven college kids instead of proven vets that can help your loaded team win now?

Plus, Rams have been very efficient with their mid range picks of late. This year they got Akers (2nd), Van Jefferson (2nd), Terrell Lewis (3rd), Burgess (3rd), Fuller (6th) who all played at least rotational roles this year, plus they have Brycen Hopkins (4th) ready to step in if Gerald Everett moves on. Last season, they added Rapp (2nd) and 2 OL that have contributed (starter Edwards and 3rd tackle Evans) along with rotational DT Gaines.

This trade will make it 7 consecutive years without a 1st round pick. The first 4 had them still in the second round of the playoffs. They certainly won't be participating much in this year's draft; they'll have their 2nd, their 3rd, a 3rd round compensatory (expected for Fowler), their 6th and 7th.

Rams traded their 2021 3rd round compensatory pick for losing their scouting director to the Lions, their 2022 1st and 2023 1st for Stafford. In 2021 trade terms, that's valued as 2nd, 3rd and 4th essentially for a starting QB and dumping Goff's contract. Decent value IMO.

It’s certainly not out of the question that Stafford can bring them to a Super Bowl; I just wouldn’t trust a guy that’s been in the league for more than a decade and is 0-fer in the postseason to do it.

If he was a big time QB, he would have won at least one of the playoff games he played in.

Who's calling him a big time QB? He's an upgrade from Goff. Rams were a second round playoff team this year despite Goff. Does Stafford get them another round? 2 would be the Super Bowl. A full season of Stafford and Akers should mean a few more regular season wins at least.

I think whatever team gets him is going to go through serious growing pains. Unless he goes to an established contender. Which not many of them are in need of QBs.

Why? He's been a very good QB for Houston and can escape the pocket.

The only thing Stafford has proven is that he can’t win in the playoffs. Yes, I would take my chances keeping my first round picks.

Who's calling him a big time QB?

No one; because he’s not. He’s never proven he can play well in big moments. The Rams overpaid for an old QB that has never proven anything other than he can put up pretty stats.

When a Qb carries a non playoff team into the playoffs. they are expected to lose. Always amazes me when a QB gets all the blame for losing in playoffs when they are on non playoff team.
