Your “ clear answer “ doesn’t want to come here and Philly has way more fire power
I think that you've misread the initial post so let me make it crystal clear. Given the various scenarios posted on this board, there's ONLY one that actually solves the Washington QB situation over the next 10-12 years. Everything else is either a stopgap hoping for a rookie to develop or one that puts that onus directly on a rookie.

If Philly won’t give up on butt hurts to get the clear answer then that tells you something or it should
Yep, that Philly still has confidence in Hurts, and in their organization's ability to put a winning team around him with all of those assets. It's the smart move, given the fact that they can construct a pretty formidable team with him and be in a position to replace him, on a rebuilt team already intact!

One other thing, N.Y. Giants with two first-round picks are sticking with Jones too!

Washington football team regrets are coming later!

Giants commit to Daniel Jones: "We've done everything possible to screw this kid up"
The Giants seem committed to Daniel Jones in the short term, seeming to understand that they haven’t met him halfway.

Joe Schoen: Giants will 'build around' Daniel Jones
New York Giants GM Joe Schoen says the team will build around QB Daniel Jones, who drew high praise from the new leading man.

We won't know anything until something actually happens. No team managers are going to say well we might do this or we might do that.

McLaurin is a true number one. Is he top five in the game? Probably not. But he is top ten for sure. Look at the stats he produced while being targeted every game. Bracketed. Doubled.

It would be wise to get another wr in the draft, that’s true. Then it wouldnt depend on Samuels bring healthy or not. They tried to do such by drafting Brown. If samuels or brown step up, that’s great. If samuels AND Brown step up, that would be fantastic. If Samuels, Brown, AND the rookie they draft step up, the team could contend for the nfc title even with TH as the starter. I’m not sure any of them could step up with TH as the starter though, bc of his inconsistent play.

That’s why a better qb is a must. Even the same level of qb with an nfl caliber arm would be a step up. That way the qb could hit any pass catcher in stride on any route, including outs, fades, hooks, wheels, and double moves. The problem with TH is that he didnt hit those routes consistenly enough for defenses to account for them, and he couldnt throw it deep.

The 3 players totaling 3,000 yards is a bit misleading. It likely means you have a good QB and three good receivers but in some cases injury or spreading the ball around might keep you from having 3 receivers with a total of 3,000 yards.

Washington had injury issues .... Thomas and a mediocre QB. Not to mention no clear cut No. 2 WR.

Not only that, but AG and TM both ran/rec 1,000 yards, and all the tight ends (Logan Thomas, John Bates, RSJ) recieved about 750 yards and 6 tds, with mediocre qb play.

Gibson and McKissic also totaled almost 600 yds recieving between the two of them.

There's plenty of weapons, and plenty of room for growth.

Adding another WR who has skills that exceed or are comparable to those of TMac would be huge for this team no matter who the QB happens to be. Whenever you have to focus more attention on stopping these guys, it opens up the run game, frees your TE and makes your QB much more effective, even Heinicke!
