Detroit seems to like defensemen that have played for the Calgary Flames (Brad Stuart, Ian White, Mike Commodore) so how about Cory Sarich for Darren Helm? Come on Kenny, you know you want to do it.

Just Listened to an inview with Kenny Holland, he's looking to sign Quincey for more than just the rest of this season. But not real interested in anyone else up front, might be the same interview sherbert seen earlier. Now that Joey Mac stepped it up, yah I don't think the Wings need anyone else..JMO

All said, I'm happy we traded for him. Quincey is a solid defenseman who's willing to fight and bleed for the Wheel. We haven't had any true nastiness on the backend (santorum?) in a while.

i didn't like the fact that kenny gave up a first rounder when i first saw this trade come across the wire but then i thought about it and it's really not that bad

Look at the Goligoski to Dallas trade. It took Neal and Niskanen. Now I think Goligoski is a shade better, but really, the difference between a late 1st and NEAL and Nisky? HUGE difference.

was also reading on Twitter that earlier Quincey had some maturity "issues" when he was with the Wings the first time around, which was another reason he was placed on waivers.

I just remember how good he was in a limited role against Anahiem in '07, and how he said he was willing to fight and do whatever it took to stay a Wing... and then they let Big E and Meech sneak in front of him. Blech. I whined about that for a while.
