lots of times it seems like scrambling qb's try to be a pocket passer when they need to just accept the fact that they should roll out of the pocket and run or throw it on the run.

I think taylor's still getting the hang of deciding when to take off.

Me thinks Taylor takes off way too soon.................and me thinks that Taylor often feels like he needs to make a play.

I know a lot of ye are sayin that by now he should be grown up enough to not make mistakes anymore.........but, if Bo and staff decide that he is the future, then I am going to keep my hopes up.

It is obvious that Taylor is still immature............hopefully he can grow up SOON :L

What people do need to understand, though, is that a team cannot just sign a 5-star QB and expect to go undefeated in year 1............or year 2 for that matter.

Experience >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Talent........and it's not even close

I'm just struggling with the idea of a 5th year senior Taylor Martinez starting at QB for us. What kind of player is he gonna be? Is he going to be drastically better, or the same guy? I doubt he's starting if he's the same guy.

I absolutely get the frustration with the coaching staff. As an Iowa fan Ive watched 13 losses in the last 4 years where my team has NEVER lost by more than a TD. In every single game Iowa was either tied or held the lead with less than 7 minutes left. I know what its like to watch your staff do the same damn thing every time and get the same damn result EVERY time. I dont agree with getting on Martinez, the kid is in a no win situation. Hes playing for a storied program with a coach that wont coach him. Its obvious. The kid hasnt improved one lick since he took the field last year. Thats coaching pure and simple. The best coaches tailor their schemes and game plans around the talent their team possesses but most coaches dont do that. They are so stubborn and prideful that they want to prove they can win doing it their way. Not going to work here, especially if you dont teach the kid what hes doing wrong and if the staff has tried and hes still not doing it then its even more their fault for sticking with him. You guys are nothing better than a 8-4 or 9-3 team with Martinez as your QB in his current state.

He should have been redshirted as a freshman and taught how to throw.

I did fill out an application when it was posted for offensive coordinator when Wats left. Apparently my vast experience coaching midget football and my prowlness with NCAA on the xbox didn't warrant a call back...

i have mastered this game...therefore i should be a coach dadburnnit:roll:
