Ok. This tells me that Homer is going to make a move in the next coming days. I knew that there was no way that the Flyers would be this quiet. I think we get our goalie in a trade. Here is Homer's draft transcript.

This is the Laughton pick all over again. I went from full rage when we initially picked, to quite pleased with our selection.

Sounds like it's one of those high risk, high reward picks. They love his progression and are gambling that it will continue. I don't know. I hated the pick at first but I'm starting to like it more. They still could've chosen someone much less risky.

i've warmed up to it a little too.. still not a big fan of it, but it could be ok.. the hagg pick in the 2nd round really calmed my nerves

the 3rd rounder was just a stupid pick.. they probably could've had that guy in the 5th round if they really wanted him.. that pick should have been jordan subban.

It's too early to predict how the outcome of this draft will turn out for us. However, I was expecting Homer to be more aggressive in this draft. Whether that being moved up into the 5 or 6 spot to get Nurse or Nichusken. If his plans are to move a dman, I feel like this was the best opportunity to do. He could have grabbed some additional 2nd round picks possibly? Fucale would have been a great gamble IMO. The 3rd round pick was absolutely just a bullshit aweful waste of a pick. The Flyers don't have the luxury to waste picks. I've said this about the Eagles as well. I just don't understand why they feel that drafting the same type of players every year is the key success. We are loaded w Rinaldo's and Carcillo's in this organization. We will continue to live in the penalty box if these guys actually make a roster spot. I guess only time will tell.

We couldve replaced coburn with Jones right away
our 11th pick wont be here for years plus we already have Laughton to do what we drafted him for
and read will be gone by next year anyway and that's Laughton of cousins spot.

Because he got drafted by a team that has a nice defense on our team he steps right in.

There is no need to rush Jones. He's in the perfect situation. I bet he may play a couple of times, but he will be in the minors more than likely. He will play if he's called up from an injury, but that's about it.

That's a bruising defense that the Preds have. Suter is way in the past now. Rinne will have a good comeback year. Geez. If they can trade for a pure goal scorer, they will be scary in the coming years. I still think when Jones is ready for the NHL, Webber will be trade bait.

Espn gave the Flyers an A-. Mainly based on first two picks. If those two make it who even cares about the rest!
