I was just about to ask if anyone else was nervous as hell that we haven't made a single move yet. Is this the calm before the storm?

I was thinking the same thing. Think about it, rumors about Coburn to another team don't just appear and suddenly go away. Homer is probably eating his steak dinner and waiting to hear back? Very unlike the Flyers to be this quiet? Where is awaz these days?

As much as I've bitched this far, now that this is sinking in a bit, my feeling is that Homer is actually doing a decent job. I thought we could have been more aggressive, but then again, the draft is a crap shoot. Furthermore, Coburn is a good dman and his cap hit is good. Props to Homer for not giving him away for a free play on the lottery. Morin is a big dude. Put him in a gym and give him set up w a trainer and set him up w a few protein shakes. Eventually he will fill out his frame. This time don't rush these guys. Let them develop.

agreed.. as much as i hate the morin pick, i love this pick.. good pick.

i'm perfectly fine w/ homer not making moves.. would've preferred a different 1st round pick obviously, but i'd rather them make a pick i dont like than a trade i dont like.. maybe morin develops like chara and the offensive game doesn't come for 4-5 years.. he's a monster physically no doubt

We're going to lose Read shortly anyway, since his next contract will be more than we're willing to give him ..... so, what the hell, why not take a shot

Morin looks great on tape and he does have that Pronger like nasty side to him. He's got to bulk up. He's a new version of Kjell Samuelsson.

It sounds like Coburn talks are heating up. Grab MPS+2nd where we draft Bowey or Lehkonen maybe
