That was pretty douchey. Forget that though, I was surprised at how everyone else reacted like they won the world series again... kind of refreshing really, I didn't think they would have such a reaction to what appears to be a meaningless game.

They still have hope I guess... I'm glad they aren't just mailing it in and I'm glad I stayed until the end of the game that might be the last of the excitement for the season...

I suspect they acted that way more because it was DeRo who got the hit than because they got the win. DeRo was pointing to himself the whole time, as if asking everyone to dog pile him.

I think today in the morning, Murph mentioned it to Kruk, and Kruk just completely waived him off. Kruk mentioned the guy is a presence in the clubhouse and jokes and laughs like the rest of them. Playing in New York and dealing with their media supposedly builds that detached demeanor.
