Bears #4 is a joke. Just because they are in a large city doesn't mean they are worthy of #4 all time. Give me a break. Look the 85 season was great, but you might as well rank the Hawks #4 all time if this is the case... Comparable to the 85 Bears D and have a # of just amazing moments in the playoffs, franchise established later, and just as many SBOWL wins (1).

Bears and Hawks should be like 20th or so. Hawks I feel are appropriately ranked. Bears #4, BWAHAHA. This coming from a person who now lives in Chicago. Give me a break. Hawks have generally dominated their division and been a MAJOR factor in the NFC the entire last 10+ years. Bears have done nothing spare starting a guy named REX for one Super Bowl season as they coasted on a weak NFC.

Packers #1 sounds right.

And adding...

Bears above 49ers... LMFAO. 49ers - Best QB all time (debatable, but basically), best S all time, best WR all time, best CB all time (played on the team, still significant), one of the best coaches all time (Holmgren), top 20 QB all time (Young).

BEARS > 49ers?!?!?! LMFAO. What a joke article that is. At least they cracked Cleveland top 10. They got that right (and Packers #1).

The Bears ranking at 4 has more to do with being around since the 1920s and such and from success they had before the modern era like before 1950

Can't you say the same thing about the Packers?

That's what these rankings basically come down to it seems. Most of the older franchises toward the top, and the newer ones toward the bottom.

Hence the phrase "All-time" in the title of the piece.

The eight league titles also supports their place on the All-time list.

If you go from 1960, the year the Cowboys were established, they are EASILY number 1.

The fact that Cleveland is in the top 10 discredits this piece of shit right there.

I didn't start watching football until I was a little kid in the late 70's, so I never got to see the early Browns teams. For them to have sucked it up the way they have in the Super Bowl era and still be top 10, they must have been bad ass back in the day

They should change the name of the list to "which franchises have been around the longest." It you truly want to know the all-time greatest, then they should have divided those numbers by the years that they were a franchise. THAT would tell you how great they are compared to newer franchises

It is difficult to compare the texans, jags, and panthers to the packers, bears, and giants on a greatest of all time. You are comparing the history of 20 year old teams to those of 100 year old teams and assigning points. You could just about lop off the entire AFC and get your top teams still.

It is a fun read and props to the person for tracking down all this information.

it breaks down the point system used & it is an all time list so I think the list is cool.

My only question is who gets the points when a hall of fame player played on more than one team?
