The silver lining is that it happened in an off year for Cuse. And they should be stacked next year.

Big deal, but not as big as it seems. McCullough has been struggling recently, and we've still been playing fine. If we get average play out of Obokoh, we can still manage to make the tournament. He doesn't need to excel, he just can't glare out as a weakness.

If Cooney and Gbinije keep playing how they have of late, I still have faith in a sweet 16 run.

Too bad that was a game you were at Elijah. UM is playing good ball this year. I'm not shocked they took one from the boys. Though I would have preferred they not lose this one.


The trip to Chapel Hill is going to be even tougher.


After the defections to the pro's the last few years....a trip to the NIT shouldn't be to big of a surprise. I'm not too worried about the overall state of the program. Sure wish the NCAA would get through the investigation though so we can figure out just what they will be faced with moving forward.

You called two of them. The UM and UNC teams. SU goes 5 - 3 through that period. Not bad, but it's not going to be enough for them to make the tournament. They will have to win some agains the top of the ACC and I don't see that happening.

NIT for the boys this year. And that's not all bad.
