Yeah, I think we're going to let this squeak away. Not having a big man killed us in the 1st half.

Happy to see some fight though. We're still obviously a few years away.

It's great seeing kids fight back like that. SU didn't deal with the press well at all.

But now SU is trying to step it back up.

There's a lot of time left. SU has let some slip away the last couple of minutes.

Nice game Jonvi. You guys are obviously the better team, but any road ACC win is a good one.

You're not kidding. Talk about the tale of two halves.

68 - 66....It's hard for me to say the better team after the way the second half went. They hung on by their teeth and better get on the bus before someone reviews the clock or something.

Thanks for the sportsmanship. And good luck to the hokies for the rest of the season.

Buzz wanted this game bad. He played hard on the sidelines. At one point he was past half court trying to double team Bibbs.

Omg I know, dude was sweating like crazy.

Did anybody see him take his tie off and unbutton his shirt? Lol he was breathin hard- shirt was soaked, was a great moment, VT has a passionate coach!

And cuse, well the first half they came out great, dropping shots, playing to there potential and following the trend the past few games. The second half changed when Joseph was basically yanked for good and silent G took over the point. When he does that we can't use him for what he's best at, getting to the rim and creating shots, dumping off too rak etc.

Roberson stepped up with a double double, he's meant to play the 4 it's just tough when you have Mccoulough as competition. And btw Mcc had 18 minutes, wtf I get he's in the dog house but we need to get him developing his game not sitting his ass on the bench. I realize JB is sending a message but that message shouldn't continue much farther. If we can win the rest up to UNC we will be in good shape, although Georgia Tech on the road worries me.

I'm more hopeful than 4-5 games ago.

Good post csb. Agree. SU will be lucky to get out of there with a win. And Buzz Williams is a great coach. VT will be a problem for years down the road.

SU @ GT, 7 Jan

It's off to the Thrillerdome. SU will pull the stinger out as soon as they get there.

GT played @ ND very tough, losing in a double OT. Shame. I thought they really had ND on the ropes and just didn't get the bounce in the final OT.

They are real tough inside. Hunt and Mitchell control the boards well. Hunt will drop the 3 on you so whoever has Hunt has their hands full. Eight players get significant minutes and can all score.

In their house....this will be a great game. At home, GT has lost 2 this year. So they can lose at home.

The Cuse is better than most think. SU will match up inside and has better guard play so I'm saying SU comes away with another road win. Assuming JB can get them to play 40 minutes of bball. :suds:

That seems to be one of the bigger issues this year, playing 40 consistent minutes of basketball

Absolutely right...and it should be a great game. Although I feel this game is probably the one we are most likely to lose out of this upcoming series with BC, Clemson, Miami, FSU it also might be the most important (GT Rpi of 28). We really can't afford a loss before we head to UNC as FSU, BC, Clemson are like 130+ in RPI, shit Miami is like 92. Every game is of the upmost importance to get us Into the tourney (though I'd accept one loss with this team in that series).

Cuse is talented, I think by the time march rolls around we will be a top 25-30 team, I am not so sure that what we have on paper at that point will show that.
