Nice to see the M's get a revenge sweep against the A's in this series. Felix got knocked around a bit in the 5th, but his offense backed him up for once. He can't be on his game all of the time and when he isn't, that doesn't usually make for a competitive game, much less a win, but it worked out well this time.

Yes the revenge sweep is a great feeling. This team is actually fun to watch.

That was a huge win. I know most are happy with a series win (so am I), but a sweep of a divisional opponent vs a series win is a 2 game difference. I didn't see all of it, but it sounds like a gutty performance from the offense.

Agree with everyone here... This was a huge series in terms of divisional opponents... They gained 3 games on a team that was almost neck n neck with them going into the series...

Seriously though.. that inning was a disaster for Felix and for the defense. It always makes me wince when Felix attempts to field his position just because half the time he seems to do something to his ankle. As great as Felix is as a pitcher, he's not exactly Greg Maddux when it comes to fielding his position.

The fact that everyone else stepped up when Felix got rocked the way he did...that definitely helped. Congrats, guys, that's the type of action we've been looking to see you take for quite some time!

That inning was just unnerving. 3 crazy plays that would have likely made things a lot different: Felix for some reason looking to 3rd after fielding Burns' bunt that used up the time needed to throw him out at first, Felix booting the easy dribbler that could have been an out at home, and gold glover Kyle Seager letting a routine grounder get under his glove. The good news is this team still overcame all of that, which I am not sure would have happened in recent years.

Sweet Success! In the process of buying a house and called DirecTV to set up a move date in couple weeks and was able to score free extra innings for the year! East coast M's up and running for the rest of the year! Woot!

The most exciting part is Nintendo selling there ownership majority, and the news that Howard Lincoln stepping DOWN! Lincoln has been a big player in making the Mariners pathetic since 2001 ...

True, we're all used to the way things had been with these guys, but you are absolutely right about that vibe. Add the local group buying Nintendo's part of the team, the deal with Lincoln...
