All of a sudden, that Brent Burns trade with the Sharks looks a lot better for Minnesota a year later...

Not sure it changes things too much. Sure they have Seto now but outside of Suter, that defense is pretty thin. Burns and Suter would have been a heck of a duo.

I think it's much worse for the Wings. They were hoping to be able to sign these guys so they wouldn't have to trade away any assets. They couldn't replace Rafalski last year. It's impossible to replace Lidstrom. Changes are coming in Detroit.
