Patriots should feel honored it scored 10 points. The Bears allowed over 10 points only 5 times that season.

Patriots should feel honored it scored 10 points. The Bears allowed over 10 points only 5 times that season.

Only TD was complete garbage time against backups, too. It was 44-3 when they scored that TD.

Not to mention, the field goal only came because Walter fumbled at the Bears 20. New England gained negative yardage on the drive (as they did for the first half). It's not like they moved the ball and scored on the vaunted Bears starting D. Not at any point did they or anyone accomplish that in the playoffs.

Ya,NE had Walters number that day......that was their no.1 focus,they were not gonna let him beat them....they concentrated on him so much,they forgot about rest of the team.

And its still sad Walter never got that SB td......

Gotta agree......not sure how he could have forgotten him......
I know Ditka tried a couple times,but NE pretty much knew he was getting the ball.
But when they were first n goal at the one,and Jim McMahon snuck it in,there should be no answer to that......
Perry runs one in from the one,that was first n goal and we were up 37 - 3 at that point and time.....
We were up big time and the game was already out of control,so who cares if Walter didnt get in on 3 tries each time.
Its not like Grogan was was going anywheres.

I think it did. He felt the running game had become lampooned with the whole Refrigerator thing. They showed one play in which Payton turned and headed directly to the sideline as soon as the ball was snapped. He'd been around too long to embrace that bullshit. I'd be pissed as well.
