Had to listen to the game at work, but I still caught most of the goings on and such. Hell of a play by Flynn and West, ha? What is the top 5 receiver list going to look like, I am really confused. I think Brett Swain may be a goner. But he's good enough to play elsewhere.
it's a great weekend to be a wisconsin sports fan!
packers look good and DEEP at every position (except d-line, which seems to have the injury bug lately). it seems like they could keep 7 wide receivers, 4 running backs, 2-3 fullbacks, 5 tight ends, 10 OL, 3 qbs (harrell looked awesome). on d, i dont think i've ever seen as deep a secondary. burnett loos very good. peprah looks to be picking up where he left off, and he won't even start! shields needs to work on his tackling a bit, and as good as he is, you can see he is still a work in progress. lb's are solid. special teams looks much better. and the pack may have the best punter in the league this year.
meanwhile, the brew trashed the mets, only to choke it away, then come back and grind out a win. this team has some serious fuckin mojo and moxy, a fighting spirit if you will. should sweep the mets today for 22 of their last 25 and the largest div lead in franchise history.
So what do you guys think of the hits so far this year. I think the league is walking such a thin line right now. Even the fines Collins got last season were kind of questionable, is there really a way to stop this stuff without completely changing the game?
Ya, I think Ochocinco's gesture was a sign that the players really feel that same way. I just hope that Nick Collins manages to go without getting the fines. Last season he had a couple, I think, and the one on Roy Williams he could have avoided.
