Keep us waiting until the 9th every time, huh?
Like the offense - wish the pitching was a little better, but they're not horrible.

I still can't believe what the Pirates are doing.
First time in 19 years they've had 47 wins before the All-Star break.

Looked at ESPN.com to see the article you mentioned, nut you had to be a member.
I'm not paying ESPN to read his article.
It may be a debate that may be too soon to start, yet A.R. is a Super Bowl MVP![score one for Rodgers]
Win another SB & I think a strong case could be made in Rodgers favor. [this season?]

Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with that, but they're only 1 behind Brewers.

[Almost didn't recognize you with the new avie!]

Ya, I don't pay either, I just think it's interesting that somebody finally came out and just said it. Personally, I don't think it's going out on a ledge to say it. I think Rodgers is what would happen if you put Iceman and Maverick together. Smart enough to avoid the mistakes....enough guts to make shit happen that most QBs even in the NFL wouldn't bother trying.

The receivers are key.
The pack have a great group of them for sure.
If they can keep great receivers Rodgers will continue to succeed.
Only time will tell if Rodgers is smart, or good enough to win with mediocre wide outs.

I agree. Looking back, he made throws in the SB alone that not many would try, let alone complete. It did surprise me that he could make me forget Favre so soon. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed watching Brett, but all to often he seemed as surprised at what he did as we [the audience] were.
A R has more command of the game, team, and most situations.
He is a complete QB.

Iceman & Maverick?!
Great reference!

Montana / Young all over again.

Sometimes it seems GB has an unfair advantage. I've said for awhile that I wouldn't trade GBs receiving corps for anyone elses. There may be better individuals, but as a group they are pretty solid.

I disagree completely. We already know he's smart. And where he puts the ball sometimes is just as impressive as anybody.

Definitely. I could go back and forth all day. I don't think we'll ever see anyone with the raw arm strength that Favre had again. I mean, I still remember before he had that thumb injury and all the other aches...he would rifle the ball so hard over the middle that the camera guys would actually lose track of it when it bounced off a helmet. After he released it, you literally...couldn't...even...see...the ball... And no one would know what the hell even happened until after they played it back in slow motion. That is just insane.

But I feel like Rodgers is a little wiser. With Favre, it always seemed like the defense knew something he didn't, and they just couldn't make him pay for it....most of the time.... Rodgers always seems to know something they don't. Just my impression. And when Favre finally got a coach who just let him audible and call whatever he wanted if he wanted(Sherman)..... His interceptions were on the rise again. And I think there is a lot of proof that Favre wasn't as smart as he thought he was. I think in just a few years, Rodgers is more like Manning...but he'll still listen to McCarthy.

Favre is no Montana. And just hope Rodgers don't turn out to be a douchebag like Young.

I know, I know. You don't like people who actually know what they're talking about.

Well, I see I've made you upset again. Crying about me in multiple threads.
Whatever it is, just let it go, brah. It's just a message board.

The reference didn't have much to do with intelligence [or lack thereof].
Most teams aren't able to replace a HOF qb with another.

Yes, I know it's to early to crown Rodgers, but he's got a heck of good start!

Interesting take on the difference [?] between Favre & Rodgers [what the defense might have known].
I think the idea has some merit

Smoke....why is it that you always fall back on the, "oh look you're upset" routine when you can't come up with a comeback? I mean why do you even bother?

It seemed like the dbacks had their chances with Favre a lot. But sometimes he was just going into triple coverage when he had other options. So I don't know, I could be wrong, but I started thinking about it this year watching Rodgers.
