I must be missing something here. Not that ESPN is known for accuracy, but according to the box score Mahomes had a higher QBR in this year's game: 96.4 - 79.7. Or are we talking about different things?

Hurts did play well...but his undersized ass is already starting to break down. He might run the way he does another year or two, but that leads to more injuries. Then he is getting paid, not running as much, less supporting cast and big trouble for the Eagles

Seriously, who the hell even cares about QBR? It's a completely meaningless stat pulled out of the ass of some idiots from ESPN. Even QB passer rating, although somewhat more credible is mostly garbage by itself. Having said that, Hurts had an all time great game in the SB and Mahomes was damn near perfect in the second half. QB play was great on both sides and we should just have a toast to watching great play. Arguing semantics is useless.

Looking at stats Sunday I was 99.9999999 percent sure Mahomes had a better QBR.

That was a huge play and was basically a 14 point swing because the Chiefs weren't slowing down the Eagles much early on. Easily could have been 31-7 as opposed to 24-14 at halftime. I would say that ST blunder was huge as well. Longest punt return in SB history at the worst possible time. A lot of stuff happened but that difference in momentum and the score looms large, for sure
