Now comes the longest two weeks of the NFL season.

30 teams and their fans have packed up, gone home and are praying that the Patriots aren't here next February. You'd think that they'd be thinking more along the lines of....."Can we get here next year?"

In all seriousness, I can think of 22 teams that don't even have a prayer of making the Wildcard Round next season.

Patriot and Brady Haters are gritting their teeth and hoping that the Falcons can pull out a win in Houston. It'll be two weeks of nightmares and upset stomachs thinking about February 5th.

For us Patriots fans, it'll be another two weeks of defensing Brady and the Patriots just like we have for the past 10 years.......................Can you believe that Super Bowl LI will be Tom Brady's 51st playoff game? Talk about weird.........

Atlanta Falcons vs New England Patriots..............It don't get much better than this.

HAHAHA. Yesterday there were a ton of experts who felt the Steelers would win. Herm Edwards was the only one who believed in "Captain America"! :)

Right now Atlanta looks loaded but the Pats do seem to have a way of taking such teams down a notch.

After that bye the Pats had before playing Houston, they didn't look great. I hope the time off before the bowl doesn't yield the same results.

Everyone saying, including some fellow Pats fans, that the Pats have no shot. Pretty sure I've heard this story before. I respect the heck out of the Falcons but:

Pats 31 Falcons 23

In the past 10 Patriots games, the Patriots have outscored their opponents by 150 points or an average of 2 TDs
and a one point and a two point conversion.

The most points scored against the Patriots was by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13..........................23.

The Patriots are #1 Scoring Defense.....................Falcons are #24 Scoring Defense.

Falcons are #1 Scoring Offense............................Patriots are #3 Scoring Offense

Just the facts please...

I like what Joe Thomas said about SB LI. He wants the Pats to win just to see the spectacle of Goodell on the dais with TB smiling his fake smile. Another famous individual who would love to see the Pats win? President Trump. Hopefully, he won't jinx it by saying anything, but I'm sure he would love his first White House visit from a sports champion to be the NE Patriots.

The Pats were tied with the Falcons with a league low 11 turnovers.

Brady threw 2 picks all season. The offense was due for a stinker. We got lucky it was in the divisional round against a team with a inept QB.

The #1 rated Offense has played the #1 rated defense 7 times in the superbowl.

The defense has gone 6 - 1 over that span.

The lone exception was San Fran beating Denver 55 - 10.

Over the next two weeks, Super Bowl LI will be dissected from every conceivable angle. For instance, we now know what color jerseys the Falcons and Patriots will be wearing for the big game, and you’re crazy if you don’t think we’re going to use that information to analyze the game.

New England will be in their white away (8-0) jerseys, and here’s why that matters: The team wearing white has won 11 of the last 12 Super Bowls. That’s a 91.6 winning percentage. The only team to overcome the burden of wearing their home uniforms was the Packers, who beat the white-donning Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

Overall, teams wearing white are 32-18 in Super Bowls. The color gods appear to be on the Patriots’s side in this one. Sorry, Atlanta. It was a good run.

I just really am hoping the defense continues to do what he has done in the post season and keep Atlanta off the board. Wonder if the Pats win the coin toss if BB will have them take it

If the Pats win the coin toss, BB will defer. He'll want the Atlanta offense to come out totally pumped up and have the defense get immediately into the game. If all goes as planned, the Falcons will play their typical offense, no bells, no whistles and the Patriots will be ready to force the Falcons to punt. The Falcons aren't going to do anything that might threaten the offense that's been so successful all year. They will try to be patient and not do anything that could give any advantage to the Patriots.

If the Patriots start on offense, I expect Brady to throw a short pass to Edelman on the first play. 3, 4, 5 yards. Then a hand off to Lewis or Blount. Quick pass on third down for a 1st. A quick screen, another run and then a seam pass to Hogan. Brady will know where he wants to go early and will try to exploit any weakness he thinks he's seen.

The Falcons can't plan on anything as far as the Patriots defense is concerned. Logan Ryan may be on Jones and may have McCourty over the top or the Pats may have Ryan and Johnathan Jones double him like they did A. Brown. Butler on Sanu. Then they'll switch up and Ryan will have to check down every time. Even the top QBs have problems with all of switching that the Patriots do throughout the game.

The Pats will play 7 DBs show 4 DL and blitz a DB. One of the reasons this defense is so good is because of the unpredictability.

Atlanta played 4 playoff teams - they lost to 3 of them.

I watched the KC - Atlanta game yesterday. Atlanta was not good in the red zone.
Atlanta was bottom of the league (28th) in 3rd downs made. They have a lot of 1st downs. This means they are making their 1st downs on 1st & 2nd. Big plays. When they have to grind it out on 3rd down or in the endzone, that is not their strength. Patriots are toughest team in the redzone and don't give up a lot of big plays.
Atlanta is going to have their hands full with NE defense

Atlanta is 27th in scoring defense and 20th in time of possession.
They are going to have their hands full with NE Offense

New England 41 - Atlanta 20

Am I the only one that thinks if it's a close game a few calls are gonna go in Atlanta's favor?

To your point.

Atlanta is 12-0 when they score 30+. 1-5 when they don't.
