I am kinda glad to see Dudley return to PHX so he can be a mentor for this young team! I know i am going to get blistered but I think the Suns make the playoffs and lose badly the first rd. However, I predict PHX to go deep in years to come. I FEEL it and I have been FEELING it for over 35 years! 1976 we went deep, 1993 we went deep, 2018?

The roster has a lot of promising young talent, but they need a major addition or two to be a playoff team this year and they are 3-4 years away from making any kind of run in the West.

I think they are heading in the right direction with Booker, Len, Bender and Criss + Bledsoe and Knight, but you should keep your short term expectations in check. If they deal one of their PGs for Millsap it could give them enough to make the playoffs, but that might not be the best move at this time.

Jared Dudley is tremendous for the locker room but his addition will add very little to the win total. As optimistic as you are you should honestly be rooting for another high lottery pick. I agree with tlance that we shouldn't make any spontaneous short term moves. I'm comforted by the fact that the Suns are not mentioned with any significant free agents.

I like the direction we are heading….. playoffs are a long shot unless Bledsoe stays healthy, Booker breaks out, and a lot of things go right….. and even then it's not a good bet. I like our future though.

The Millsap rumor is interesting. I'd take him over Knight, but stunting the growth of Chriss/Bender isn't smart in the big picture.

That was a fun team to watch back then. If you can find it, there is a book about that team called "The Little Team That Could and Darn Near Did: The Fabulous Rise of the Phoenix Suns" that was written by Joe Gilmartin who was a Suns reporter from the Arizona Republic or Phoenix Gazette. Great book.
